2015 Recap

Ah the time has come. The time of year when everyone reflects on the highlights and not so highlights of the year.

Although my year wasn’t like Gigi Hadid’s, it sure was one hell of a ride. This year began with new challenges and most of them I was not ready to face (especially this thing people call adulthood?!!?!?!)

After having to trudge through 2 feet of snow at 8:30am on my way to statistics class, I decided I would never do a winter semester again at UNB. Sounds super dramatic eh? Well i’m not a “winter” person and for those of you that know me personally- I am cold 24/7.

So I met with my advisor and the two of us made it work so that I could finish a semester early and not have to bare the winter again at UNB. Once the semester had finished off and I had conquered pneumonia Dylan and I set off to Cuba where I got the worst sunburn of my life :’) (there is photo evidence which shall never reach this site)

When I got home, I had the best birthday ever. Tiaras and obnoxious balloons included.

Then I landed the best summer job at the Student Union. Typically, the Marketing Manager job only runs throughout the school year, but then I thought- there is so much potential for that during the summer months too?!

I had previously worked the school year in the position and talked to the executive where I proposed to them that they allow me work there during the summer too.

I couldn’t have asked for better people to work with and we created some great memories on the river (while tubing) and in Shediac (where I ate my first lobster).

Although I spent the majority of my summer with my head between textbooks and barricading myself in my room to study, I ended up having the best summer I’ve ever had.

This is for a number of reasons: I got to live in a great house downtown with Amanda & Sienna. I got to complete my MTL bucket list with none other than Katie (this included Bota Bota, the Taj, and La Ronde). Lastly, I had the opportunity to visit friends in Bermuda.

I was having a bit of travel frenzy, so not long after I got back and completed my final papers, I headed to NYC with my #WYLFam for their debut show during NYFW.

^ this trip also took the cake for best moments of 2015.

This was right around the time when I created this blog. I had not idea what I was doing and truthfully I still don’t.

I’ve found that its actually a lot of fun. I love photos. And I love fashion. So why not?

I have to say, much of 2015 I owe to other people. First off, my rock(s). You know who you are. Professor Grant. And all of the photographers and creators I have worked with in the last 6 months. Allie Beckwith, Nat Carson, Sarah Kierstead, Michael El Khoury, and Nathanael Patriquin. You guys are the best.

Also, Wear Your Label. You two are doing amazing things and I was so happy to be a part of it.

2016 will bring on new challenges and exciting things. Although I am slightly terrified of adulthood, who isn’t?
