Gluten Free + Dairy Free Pita Pizza

It can be really difficult eating at restaurants because although restaurants are now starting to offer gluten free options, it is still really difficult to find lactose free cheese (and it taste somewhat normal). I usually just end up picking off most of the cheese and my plate looks like a two year old got at it … sorry dylan.

I came across some great brands that make it so easy to whip up this awesome pizza. Check out Lactofree for some dairy free products that don’t compromise on taste. I often always opt for almond based products instead of soy or lactose free milk- but the Lactofree products come in handy when it comes to making pizza, and sauces that require cheese (I even made a carbonara with this!)

This pizza is super easy to make and all you’ll need is:
-A pita or pizza crust (gluten free or regular)
-Tomato sauce
-Cheese (lactose free or regular)
-Baby tomatos (I used plum)
-Arugula (or as they call it here in England= ‘rockets’)
Toppings as you like: I used avovado, chicken, and bell pepper.
Plus it will only take you 30 minutes!

I started out by laying out a couple of these pitas and pre- heating my oven to around 160 degrees celsius

Spread the sauce over the pita depending on how much you like

I put some avocado, green pepper, and thin slices of chicken on this one for Dylan, then it was time to put them in the oven!

They only take about 20 minutes, but depending on your oven and the thickness of the pita, the time could vary. I like mine crispy so I waited until the edges turned a little brown!

I topped it again with some arugula- and wa-lah!
